There’s something truly special about capturing a wedding day – the quiet anticipation in the morning, the nervous laughter before the ceremony, and the wild dance floor moments when everyone finally lets go.
At Wilson Studios, I don’t just photograph weddings – I tell stories. Real, heartfelt, unposed stories filled with connection, laughter, and emotion.
The Morning: Nerves, Laughter & Little Details
Every wedding morning feels different – sometimes calm, sometimes chaotic (and often a little of both). I love walking into a house full of excitement, hairdryers humming, dresses hanging by the window, and the scent of fresh flowers filling the air.
Those first few hours are packed with beautiful details: handwritten vows, cufflinks passed down through generations, a quick hug from mum before you walk out the door. These are the moments that matter – small, fleeting, but full of meaning.
The Ceremony: The Moment Everything Begins
When the music starts and the bride appears, time seems to slow down. Whether it’s a traditional church wedding in Gloucestershire or a relaxed outdoor ceremony surrounded by nature, every couple has a story worth telling.
I capture those nervous glances, the trembling hands, and that incredible moment when you finally lock eyes – the kind of photo you’ll treasure forever.
After the “I Do’s”: Confetti, Cuddles & Champagne
Once the ceremony ends, it’s time to celebrate! The confetti flies, guests cheer, and you can finally breathe again. I love these in-between moments – the genuine smiles, the laughter, and the way people come together.
It’s also the perfect time to sneak away for a few relaxed portraits – just the two of you. No awkward posing, no forced smiles. Just a short walk, some soft light, and a chance to take it all in.
The Reception: Real Moments, Real Emotion
By the evening, the nerves are gone and the real fun begins. The speeches bring laughter (and sometimes tears), the dance floor fills up, and everyone celebrates what truly matters – love, family, and connection.
These are some of my favourite images to capture: the dad wiping away a tear, the friends laughing uncontrollably, and the couple sharing one last quiet moment under the lights.
Why I Love What I Do
Wedding photography is about more than just beautiful pictures – it’s about trust.
It’s about being invited into one of the most important days of someone’s life and capturing it honestly, without interfering or staging the emotion.
Every wedding I photograph feels like a new adventure, and every couple brings something unique to the story.
